As I struggled,
Bending and twisting into positions foreign to my body,
I realized the blessing in disguise.
I found the humility in my practice.
At half my energy,
At half my strength,
It wasn’t about being the best,
It wasn’t about how correct my form was,
It was about making it there and breathing
Falling and getting back up.
That’s life though.
Sometimes we fail at the fundamentals.
Sometimes we contort ourselves into foreign positions or situations for the ones we love.
But it’s the effort and the perseverance to get back up.
That’s why I love Yoga.
It teaches me about life.
It helps me stay humble.
